That is twelve firearms and a knife from the Steam posts. Deep Worlds' official Discord adds one more: on 4 March 2026, the studio's Head Staff Matavatar announced a new Korth revolver in the #leaks-wip channel, with its animation set still to come. That makes thirteen named firearms. The rest of the gap to the "more than 20" on the store page is either still unannounced, or among weapons shown in videos without a name.

The same updates describe how shooting works, beyond the list of guns:
- Point aiming, a middle ground between firing from the hip and aiming down sights, introduced in Dev Update #4 (December 2024)
- A magazine check animation with its own interface, shown in Dev Update #3 (July 2024)
- A grenade system, whose tech was explained in the same update
- Weapon customization with attachments, shown as early as Dev Update #1 (February 2024)

Watch on YouTube from 8:21More monsters, more guns and A LOT of features - BEAUTIFUL LIGHT DEV UPDATE #5In May 2025, Deep Worlds listed three things still to implement: bolt cycling, pump action for shotguns, and scopes. The Steam posts since then have not said whether those are done.
What playtesters said about the gunplay
In its first playtest report (May 2023), Deep Worlds said players found the PvP satisfying, the time to kill about right, and the recoil well received. The weapon pool has grown a lot since, and by May 2025 the studio described gunplay as varied enough to approach fights in many different ways.
The latest footage
The most recent development video, published on 25 August 2026, has its own weapons chapter. Deep Worlds' Steam posts stop in February 2026, so nothing first shown in that video is in the table above yet.
